Diffuser Plate Cleaning

Mercury Abatement

ACUTE Environmental and Safety Services has extensive experience in mercury abatement and remote work. ACUTE staff have been involved with projects at 18 light stations across the Great Lakes region. ACUTE comprehensively plans each remote site projects to anticipate equipment requirements while minimizing cargo space needed. Canadian Coast Guard (Central Region) has contracted our services for the bulk removal of mercury and confirmatory pre- and post-cleanup air quality measurements.

ACUTE is fully equipped with mercury vacuums, monitors and HEPA vacuums to handle small incidental spills, as well as large decontamination projects. ACUTE also offers consultation in the establishment of mercury, asbestos, and lead control programs. Staff are trained in hazardous waste handling techniques (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120), as well as a specific mercury handling and site decontamination procedures. ACUTE endeavours, wherever possible, to recycle product grade chemicals. Recycling product grade materials allows ACUTE to save our clients extra expense by eliminating waste disposal costs.
