Supervisory Awareness Training


The Supervisory Awareness training course provides an overview of the roles of the employer, supervisor and worker in the Ontario Workplace as detailed by the Occupational Health and Safety Act. You will learn:
  • The Regulations and Standards of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Internal responsibility system
  • The responsibilities of supervisors
  • The rights and responsibilities of workers
  • The definition of a Competent Worker
  • Offenses and fines under the OHSA
  • The concept of Due Diligence
  • The Joint Health and Safety Committee
  • Work refusals
  • Critical injuries

  • Training includes handouts, videos, quizzes and certificates of training upon successful completion. You will learn through classroom interaction with experienced instructors, using demonstrations and extensive hands-on training techniques.
